The Brookings Public Library’s Maker Lab is a place where people can engage in a variety of hands-on learning opportunities, access technology, and become more creative and empowered with new skills. Whether you like sewing, want to try your hand at laser cutting/engraving, or need a suite of software to make your latest graphic design come to life, the Maker Lab offers a variety of equipment to tinker with.

Maker Lab equipment is free to use for those aged 18+ with a BPL library card in good standing. You must provide any materials or consumables needed with the equipment or pay the per-inch fee for equipment noted below. Reservations are required to use the Maker Lab, and some equipment requires training before you can use it. You must sign a waiver and initial the guidelines document before using the space. Use this
