NEW DIGITAL SERVICES NOW AVAILABLE

The Brookings Public Library is pleased to announce two new digital services to the Brookings community, both free with the use of a Brookings Public Library card.

Zinio for Libraries is a new digital magazine service.   A product of RBdigital from Recorded Books, Zinio is the world’s largest newsstand, offering multi-user access to popular publications.  It was awarded Best New Database of 2012 by Library Journal.

Through the Library's website, library card holders have unlimited multi-user access to fifty-four complete digital magazine titles, which can easily be viewed on most Internet-enabled devices inside or outside of the library. Zinio’s unique technology digitally recreates a magazine page for page, including full color pictures, intuitive navigation, key word article search and interactive elements such as audio and video.  National Geographic Interactive, Taste of Home, Cosmopolitan, Gun Digest and PC Magazine are just a few of the popular titles available.

Also in partnership with RBdigital from Recorded Books, the Library will offer OneClickdigital, an online service that allows patrons to check out eAudiobooks, including best-sellers, Recorded Books exclusives, classics, selections for children and young adults, and much more.

Patrons have free access to eAudio at home, in the library, or on the go.  OneClickdigital is compatible with all popular listening devices, and mobile apps are available for the iPhone®, Android™, and Kindle Fire.

Details on how to access Zinio or OneClickdigital may be found at www.brookingslibrary.org (see logos on right side), or ask a library staff member at the Library.

Zinio and OneClickDigital have been funded for 2015 by the Friends of the Library.
