Minnesota author Frederick Blanch will read from his book, Last Words, on Thursday, September 18 at 7 pm.  Witty, charming and hilarious, the book is an account of the author's trails, travels, and travails.  It was nominated for the Minnesota Book Awards and the author has been characterized as Minnesota's "Mark Twain of nonfiction".

New Library Hours

Starting Tuesday, July 1st, the Library will open a half hour earlier Monday - Saturday. Our new hours will be:

Monday - Thursday: 9:30am - 9pm
Friday - Saturday: 9:30am - 5:30pm
Sunday: 1 - 5pm

The Library has recently launched a mobile app to put the Library at your fingertips.  From any mobile device that is connected to the Internet, you can instantly tap into Library resources - anytime, anywhere - to search the catalog, check your account, and look at our calendar of events.

Other features of our app include Book Look with which you can scan the ISBN of a book and find out if the Library owns it and connections to the Library's Facebook, Twitter, GoodReads, and Google+ accounts.

To begin your use of the Library's mobile app, search "Brookings Public Library" in your device's app store and download the free app.
